Privacy Policy

Last Updated and Effective Date: September 10, 2026

Brief Me On LLC ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy explains how we receive, collect, use, maintain, protect, and disclose information from users ("you") when you download, install, register with, access, or use the "Brief Me On: Daily Audio News" mobile application (the "App") and its associated services.

Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not download, register with, or use this App.

1. What Information We Collect & Why

We collect information from and about users of our App directly from you when you provide it to us, and automatically when you use the App. We process Personal Information (PI) for the business purposes of providing our customized audio services to you.

A. Information You Provide to Us

Account & Profile Information: When you register for an account (via email, Apple Sign-In, or Google Sign-In), we collect personal information such as your name, email address, and secure authentication tokens. We utilize Supabase, an industry-standard secure backend-as-a-service provider, to manage and encrypt this authentication data.

Preferences and Feedback: Information you provide when setting up your profile, including your preferred region, interface language, global audio language (e.g., English, Ukrainian, Spanish), favorite news categories, and correspondence if you contact our customer support.

B. Automatic Information Collection and Tracking

When you download, access, and use the App, we may use technology to automatically collect:

Usage Details: Details of your access to and use of the App, including traffic data, listening history, articles added to your "My Digest" queue, timestamps of interactions (e.g., play, skip, read, pause), and background music volume preferences. We use this data strictly to analyze trends and improve the app's performance.

Device Information: We may collect information about your mobile device and internet connection, including the device's unique identifier, operating system version, and display language, to ensure the App formats correctly for your hardware.

C. Financial and Subscription Information

If you purchase a Basic Premium or Unlimited Premium subscription, your payment is processed securely and directly by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not collect, process, or store full credit card numbers, expiration dates, or billing addresses.

We utilize a third-party subscription management service, RevenueCat, to verify your subscription status, process offer codes (such as partner promotional trials), and grant you appropriate access tiers within the App based on anonymous digital receipts provided by the App Stores.

2. With Whom We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide to trusted Service Providers for the business purposes of providing the Services:

To Infrastructure Service Providers: We use third-party services to facilitate our operations, including Supabase (database and user authentication), RevenueCat (subscription management and entitlement verification), n8n (secure workflow automation), and cloud hosting providers (e.g., Cloudflare, AWS) for content delivery.

To AI Service Providers: We utilize third-party Large Language Models (e.g., OpenAI) to aggregate, summarize, and translate global news text. Crucially, your personal account data (name, email) is never sent to or used to train these models. Only the raw news text and our system prompts are processed by these providers.

For Legal Reasons: To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including responding to any government or regulatory request.

Business Transfers: To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of the Company's assets.

3. Artificial Intelligence, Text-to-Speech (TTS), and Microphone Usage

Brief Me On relies on advanced technology to provide your personalized radio experience. We want to be completely transparent about how this interacts with your device:

Text Processing: The generation, translation, and summarization of daily news and cultural content occur on our secure cloud servers.

Audio Generation (TTS): The text-to-speech audio narration is synthesized utilizing either secure cloud endpoints or on-device technologies provided by your operating system (Apple/Google), depending on your specific settings and language choices.

Strict Microphone Privacy: The App does not require, request, or access your device's microphone. We do not record, collect, or process your personal voice data or ambient audio in any capacity.

4. Third-Party Links and News Sources

Our App aggregates and displays short summaries of content generated from third-party global news publishers operating under principles of fair use. The App provides outbound links to the original publisher sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or publishers.

5. Your Right to Control and Access Your Personal Information

Depending on your geographical location, you may have specific rights regarding your personal data (including rights under the GDPR for European users and the CCPA for California residents):

Access and Portability: You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

Correction: You can request that we correct any inaccurate information.

Deletion (Right to be Forgotten): You can easily request the deletion of your account and personal data directly through the "Settings" menu inside the App, or by emailing us. When you delete your account, your personal data will be irreversibly deleted or anonymized in our primary databases (Supabase).

Opt-Out: You may opt-out of marketing communications or certain data processing activities by contacting us.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]

6. California Residents (CCPA) and Nevada Residents

CCPA: Brief Me On collects only the personal information detailed in Section 1. We do not sell your personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We uphold California residents’ rights of non-discrimination as defined under CCPA.

Nevada: We do not sell PI as defined by Section 1.6 of Chapter 603A of the Nevada Revised Statutes.

7. Data Security

We employ industry-standard technological measures that are reasonably designed to help protect your personal information from loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Data is stored utilizing modern encryption. However, while we take reasonable efforts to guard personal information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

8. Children Under the Age of 13

The App and our Services are not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information immediately. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

9. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may need to update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our Services and applicable laws. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and, if necessary, via an in-app notification or email to registered users. Your continued use of the App after the posting of such notice will be subject to the terms of the then-current Privacy Policy.
